Todowing

Todowing is a Chrome extension for Todoist that shows sub-task trees inline in the Today, Upcoming, Boards, Filters and Labels views, up to four levels deep. Each sub-task keeps its own due date, priority and labels, and you can complete or reopen it right in the list.

The free tier shows up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task, includes seven color palettes and a text size slider (85% to 200%), and needs no account.

The lifetime unlock removes the row limit and adds inline editing (add, rename and reorder sub-tasks without opening the parent), a hide-done toggle, time estimates with totals in Todoist's header, a focus timer for tasks picked from Today, filing a task under a parent in another project, a three-line notes pad above Today, a font picker with 50 Google Fonts, and read-only Apple Calendar events in Today.

Pricing is $19.99 one time, with no subscription. Future paid upgrades are included, and refunds are available for 14 days. Checkout runs on todowing.com through Stripe.

Privacy: your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks never pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.

Todowing runs in Chrome with the Todoist web app on any Todoist plan. It does not run in the Todoist desktop app. It is an unofficial companion, not affiliated with or endorsed by Doist, and is built by Red Pixel.
